A Warm Welcome Awaits you in Royal Deeside. The brochure presents a programme designed for walkers of all capabilities from those who wish to bag Munros to those who prefer a pleasant ramble in our beautiful Royal Deeside. Each walker can choose to take part in whatever grade of walk they feel suits them best and can participate every day or any day. Most of the walks are situated within the Cairngorm National Park. We also have an exciting evening entertainment programme!

We start with an informal registration reception on Saturday. You will be provided with name badges, confirmation of your chosen walks and notification of any unforeseen changes. There will also be the opportunity to meet with other walkers and friends, as well as the leaders and local residents who will accompany you on your walks, over a glass of wine and nibbles.

On Wednesday, instead of the formal dinner, we have organised that all the walkers will finish their walks together at Crathie. Here a 2 course early supper will be served for our Festival Gathering. Everyone will meet up to enjoy the company of new and old friends, and enjoy some entertainment. Return transport will be available back to Ballater.

On Friday we round off the week with the popular traditional ceilidh.

Please read the “Essential Information” section which contains important information about the Grading of the Walks and Equipment.
